On Saturday 15th February, we will be having a ‘blessing of the plough’ ceremony at the market.
Producers are encouraged to bring a tool or piece of equipment instrumental to their trade/craft for it to be blessed along with the plough in the traditional way.
The ceremony is traditional in the farming community and is carried out in order to ensure healthy crops throughout the year leading to a good harvest.
