IMPORTANT: 7th December market CANCELLED
Having seen the Met Office Forecast for Saturday, which shows an Amber wind warning and gusts of over 70mph thanks to Storm Darragh, we have regretfully had to cancel the Farmer’s Market this weekend. We are sorry for the inconvenience this causes.
It is never an easy decision to cancel a market as we don’t want to let down our customers. However, we trust that you will understand and support us in this. Some producers will be on the Square, trading independently from their vehicles. Please contact them directly if there is something you require.
The next Market is the final one before Christmas on Saturday 21st December – hope to see you then!
How we do it
On the first and third Saturdays of every month – Crediton Farmers’ Market is a lively, bustling community hub, linking the rural and urban environments and enabling each to better understand the other. Come along and wander among the wide choice of stalls and sample our produce before buying. With such a variety, there is bound to be something for everyone! Meet up with your friends and have a natter in the seating area over breakfast, brunch, lunch or just coffee.
What we do
To promote local and seasonal produce and enterprise, to increase farm incomes to a level which better reflects the value of the product and to provide a focal point for the local community. Our stallholders are the primary producers, working from field to fork, and at the market they sell only what they grow themselves or otherwise create. You can find out exactly how the produce came to be at the market, how it was reared, where was it grown, how was it made, whether it is organic, what breed or variety it is, how to cook it. Just ask the stallholder!
